Simple answer for all your questions, I am surprised that someone like you who can write so clearly can't figure this out.

It is a fictional story made for entertainment and not to be taken seriously.

Yeah, exactly... It's how films used to be made, back then. =)

If any of your questions had answers, then this movie would not have existed.

Remember to check reality at the door the next time you patronize a movie theater. It's much more entertaining that way.

I don't want to answer all of these, since obviously many of them fall in the category of: suspend your disbelief and enjoy the movie.

But, I have seen #6 asked several times and it constantly amazed me it's such a mystery.

I know there is a deleted scene that shows Ferris cashing in a savings bond to pay for the day, but it's a deleted scene for a reason: the director didn't want it in the story.

Ferris is a 17-year-old high school senior. Is it so hard to believe he has a part time job and is able to save money for his big day? Does that really need to be explained? When I was in high school, I had multiple part time gigs and never had an issue saving money when I wanted to make a big purchase (TV, stereo, etc). I even remember taking a day off school to drive to the city for an afternoon ball game.

#3) Rooney would be unable to prove Ferris was skipping school and deal with him 'appropriately' because they both know (along with Jeannie) that he could not take action without exposing the fact that he was breaking and entering, even more evident when he got multiple parking tickets before his car was towed.

1. Why would Mr. Rooney go to all the trouble of driving downtown to an arcade trying to catch Ferris when his mother confirmed that he was home sick?

It's Ferris. You wouldn't trust anything in front of you.

2. Why would Mr. Rooney jump out and go "ha" as if to say "gotcha" in Ferris' home when if it was Ferris (instead of Jeannie), he would be home where he's supposed to be?

He expected to find him walking around.

3. Wouldn't Mr. Rooney be arrested for breaking and entering?

We don't get that far in the film.

4. Why didn't the Maitre D simply ask Ferris for ID?

May not be restaurant policy.

5. Why wouldn't Ferris wait inside the posh restaurant for his dad to leave instead of trying to sneak behind him to get into the cab?

It may not be feasible, for one reason or another, or the fear immobilized him.

6. Where did Ferris get all the money to
pay for himself and his two friends for all the things they did? Baseball game, fancy restaurant, art gallery, gas for car, parking fees, cab rides, and etc would be a bit costly for a high school kid.

He's known in town and people idolize him. They may have just gotten freebies. He may have also chosen the day because more things were free that day.

7. How would all the flowers and balloons get in the house if nobody was there to accept them?

House was unlocked at times, I beileve!

8. Why would Ferris and Sloane make out in the parking lot knowing Mr. Rooney is standing right there? Wouldn't he get a bit suspicious knowing she is dating Ferris and shout "Hold It" and walk over to investigate?

They know Rooney is completely immobilized by Ferris' story and he's not visible. They know Rooney and know he's not that smart.

9. How would the newspapers have a story about Ferris the same day he was announced to be sick? Also it would take several days for workers to get his name up on the water tower. How'd they do it so fast?

It's Ferris - a charismatic individual. He may have charmed the newspapers the day before.

10. When Mr. Rooney pressed the line 2 button, he didn't say anything. So how would Ferris know he was on the line?

There aren't too many people that would be calling.

11. When Ferris is lip synching on the float, where did the music come from? And how would his father hear it from the tall building he was in? It must've been pretty loud.

Some speaker thingie. Being it was a festival, yes, I can imagine it being heard, but it also may be for audience benefit.

12. Why would those sunbathing women even be there? The hour of the day wasn't the best for tanning and they weren't even facing the sun.

Some women are just like that. Or just that stupid.

13. How would Ferris' dad not recognize his own son running down the street when he looked right at him?

Ferris played upon element of surprise and location - when someone you don't expect is somewhere, you don't always recognize them.

14. How did Jeanie and her mom beat the dad home when Jeanie got pulled over for speeding? Normally it takes 20 minutes to a half hour for the cop to go through the procedure of checking licenses and backgrounds and writing the ticket.
She might have been fresh in the system. And her brother is Ferris Bueller, so who knows what stuff the dept. does.

15. How wouldn't the mom see Ferris when Jeanie hit him with the car? It's a natural reaction to look forward to see why she braked so hard.
She was super-focused on her work getting all messed. She's also like 40 years old and probably has braked hard so many times in her life she doesn't care to look forward all the time.
