Shout Factory! DVD

Shout Factory! apparently sneaked this movie on to DVD. It's part of a 2 disc, 4 movie collection that was released in July. There is even an extra, an interview with Andrew Pine. I don't know if these films are on flipper discs or if the compression quality is awful and there are 2 movies per disc. Depends if they're DVD-5's or DVD-9's. It's pretty cheap, too. It's $6 for all 4 movies.

The Shout! Factory DVD release offers a couple of dual layer discs with two movies
per disc. The print quality is merely acceptable. Alas, no extras whatsoever.

Got it for ten bucks. Great price for four movies, though I've only seen this and ARENA. But those two films are great fun already.

Haven't seen AMERICA 3000 or THE TIME GUARDIAN yet.

I have mixed feelings about the Shout! DVD. I watched it two nights ago. Sometimes the picture looks like a VHS transfer, and other times it looks good. But for some reason in a lot of scenes the color gets all weird. In some shots the picture looks kind of orange, and in others red. I don't know what that's about.

It's pure cheese but worth the $10 in my opinion. I haven't seen America 3000 or The Time Guardian yet either, but it's great 80's sci fi.
