It this movie based on a true story?

Does anybody know if this story is based on a true serial killer and if so who was the serial killer?

reply

Yes, this movie is based on the Ture Story of seriel rapist and killer Christopher Wilder. On a tv series, the story was re-enacted with Renee O'Connor (of XENA!) in he role of Tina.

Yes, this movie is based on a true story. In 1983/84, I worked at the Merritt Square Mall where Terry Ferguson was abducted and murdered by Christopher Wilder. During my break from work one day, I was approached by him and he used his usual model speel, of which I declined. Thank God for that. I am looking for a copy of this movie if anyone knows where to find it.

I went to school and church with the last victim, Beth Dodge. Her cousin was one of my best friends in school. It was her car that Christopher Wilder was in when he was killed in New Hampshire. Beth was the girl that everybody liked. She always had a friendly hi for everyone in school. It was so sad and tragic when she was murdered as well as the tradgedy of the other girls who were murdered.

In the early 1980s on a business trip he'd encountered my mother and friends... the girls all laughed and walked away thinking whos this creepy older guy but sadly alot of these girls didnt see through the gimmick. Since finding that out I have become a bit of a junkie on this case. The number of womens disappearences linked to Chris from the 1960s the his final spree, sadly we will never know but I wonder. Wish this was a little more well known so more young women could be cautious

yes it is a true story, i went to school at coral gables high school, and his first victim, at least i think it was his first, was my homeroom teacher named Elizabeth Kenyon. She was a University of Miami cheerleader and interning as a teacher. She was hot, and was the only reason i made it to school on time everyday. The whole Wilder story started in Miami and he drove from miami across the country to california, then back across the country to new hamshire or vermont where he ended up getting shot at a gas station. During his trip both ways, he made stops in various cities where he did his thing with a woman and then moved on. Anyway, i hope that answers your question a little.

He drove all the way up through NH. He released the girl to the logan airport in Boston. I was just a child when these murders happened. I saw this film when I was a teenagnger. I watched the actual case on Court TV a while back.
