My, my--look at those high age limits--all over!

I'm constantly amazed at how you can see a movie in Sweden or Holland at 12 which you have to be 17 to see in the U.S. Not this one. The ear is as mighty as the eye, apparently!

Actually, I'm really appalled at how old you have to be here....

appalled is a rather strong word. Are you sure you were that shocked? that off put and upset?

I've been to many parts of Europe and the kids tend to be far more mature, and better capable of handling adult themes. Perhaps thats the reason?

I'm not a big fan of age regulation myself, so I agree with you but I must say as a whole, Canada, U.S and England have some of the most immature kids anywhere. (Canada having the slight edge)

I agree completely (except for Canada--if you meant they are the LEAST mature). Of course, you tend to think your OWN kids are the exception, and are much more mature than all the other kids in the United States.

Standing in line at a movie theater, which I used to do a lot--I never saw anyone being turned away, or even being asked for identification.

Have no idea why I used the word "appalled,." Must have appealed to me for some unknown reason.

Yeah overall I'd say Canadian kids are less mature, but by a small margin, English, American and Canadian kids are pretty much the same. Having worked in multiple countries and in a field where mostly young people work I've had much better luck with American kids than Canadian.

of course there is alot to be said about a kid being a kid.

Hey--isn't this a French CANADIAN movie we're theoretically talkling about?

I, for one, was a HORRIBLE American child...

As a Canadian, I would agree that Canadian kids are definitely up there on the "immaturity" scale.

What kind of discussion is this, anyways? Ranking maturity based on your own subjective experiences with children is so... immature.
