Regarding DRESS GRAY

I cannot believe there are no threads on this landmark TV-movie, so I decided to start one. I remember this TV-movie when it premiered as a two-art NBC-movie. I remember being totally riveted and wanting to scream at the end of the first part because I couldn't wait to see how it ended. The parralel universes of the military and homsexuality collided beautifully in this well-mounted, well-written miniseries which featured outstanding performances from Alec Baldwin, Eddie Albert, Lloyd Bridges, Jason Beghe, Cameron Dye, and Patrick Cassidy. If this is not available on DVD, it should be. It would be great to watch all in one sitting.

This movie is slated to air on LOGO January 8th 2007 at 9:00AM ET, if anyone is interested.

Will someone please tell me who the muderer was? I can never finish watching it on logo because they have so many interuptions. Since it is a mini series
it would take several hours to watch. It's always shown on week days and I have to leave for work. I have never been able to see the whole thing. The logo
website can tell me nothing. I can't find out when it will be shown again. Also
it is not on dvd.

Yeah who was the murderer?

I agree totally. Alec Baldwin and Eddie Albert were brilliant IMHO. Why isn't this made-for-tv miniseries out on DVD? Come on Warner, get with the program and release this! I've been waiting for this for so long, I may have to break down and buy the VHS on Amazon Marketplace.

Like the originator of the thread, I also remember when the movie first aired on NBC. I didn't watch it for it looked boring from the network marketing. Recently, I caught it on LOGO, and a number of dots connected. This is was a very bold and underated piece of filmwork considering the period in which it was released.
It's a great story, very well acted, directed, and riddled with homosexual subtones. It's skillfully done in a manner not to be recognized by most viewers, very much in the way homosexuality was handled in cinema during the forties and fifties. I think the network didn't market the mini series property for they simple didn't know what it was marketing.

Yep, this was a great movie. I believe it was the first time that I was exposed to Alec Baldwin. Gosh ... over 20-YEARS-ago. I distinctly remember working on a science project, and falling asleep early on the second night of the series (which caused me to miss a bit of it). Liked the movie so much, I read the book -- of course, I can barely remember anything that happened. The olden days. LOL.

I'd like to see it again.

Hey can you upload your video to youtube?

It would be amazing if you could do that. The only thing I can find involving this movie on YouTube is, um, a compilation of Alec Baldwin's shirtless scenes, which doesn't help a lot for someone who actually cares what the movie is about.

I've read reviews and such, and it really looks fascinating. If someone could make the whole thing available for people to see, that would be awesome.

Wow, that was a quick reply! :D

Either way would be good, but putting it on YouTube would benefit more people in the long run, haha. Also, YouTube recently removed their time limits, so that would make uploading it a whole lot easier than it used to be.

Thank you so much in advance!

Since not very many people have contributed to the Discussion Board about "Dress Gray," I hope you and others will address the comments I've just posted about an apparent mix-up in the credits for this mini-series.
