A Mix-Up in the Credits?--Spoilers

IMDb lists Patrick Cassidy as David Hand, the cadet whose dead body is found in the water, but in fact it was a completely different actor who (in flashback) is shown to be the victim--a victim who, by the way, is not is not in the least sympathetic
--in fact one who was a sadistic rat. Cassidy's character turns out to be the murderer. It's been over twenty years since I've seen this mini-series, but I'm quite positive that a mistake was made in the credits given.

Yes, I agree with you completely. The murder victim, who is shown in flashback and who was a definite sadistic creep, was played by an entirely different actor bore no resemblance to Patrick Cassidy. In fact, as I recall, Cassidy's part in this mini-series was relatively small--until the final denouement.
