New Orleans in this

I have never seen any movie that made New Orleans look like such a barren, ugly, abandoned, poverty-stricken third-world country like this movie. After Tom Waits was thrown out of his ungrateful girlfriends house, he's hanging out at the French Quarter with nobody around. My God, A Streetcar Named Desire and Angel Heart made New Orleans look more pleasant than this movie!
