Being a fan of both Memphis and Elvis, it has to be "Mystery Train" for me.
However "Dead Man" introduced me to Jim Jarmusch and it is a wonderful movie also - and improves on subsequent viewings.
Common features to both those movies are great soundtracks.
Definitively Down by Law. It's got great acting (especially Benigni), and the ambiance is really believable.
I didnt like Dead Man (too slow, and too abstract in my opinion) nor Broken Flowers which had a nice story, but i thought Jarmusch rested a bit too much on it and didnt really study the details.

I've only seen Down by Law, Coffee and Cigarettes, Mystery Train and Ghost Dog so far. Down by Law is my favourite so far. I love Jarmusch, his movies are so poetic in such a quiet and life-loving way. Ghost Dog is my non-favourite, too.

4. Down By Law 7/10
