Yes, I don't know for how long but I watched it on DVD yesterday.

This movie is the very definition of "underrated sleeper",and I'm looking forward to buying it. : )

I saw it 3 times when it was in the theaters and it still holds up for me a quarter century later. A wonderful debut performance by Annabeth Gish and just about Jon Voight's best work. It's truly a shame how under-appreciated this film is. Glad you enjoyed it. Another couple of greatly underrated films which I highly recommend are ' Heartland ', from 1979 and ' King of the Hill ', from 1993. If you enjoyed Desert Bloom, I feel you'll enjoyed both of these, too.
