I can honestly say that I really enjoyed this film more than Demons.

Not alot more, but I did enjoy this film more than the first Demons.
I found alot of the ideas in this film to be better than the first, such as the demon coming out of the young child. I know the first film had a demon coming out of an adult woman. But which is more goretastic and shocking? The child or the adult woman? The child takes that one.

I have more to say, but I am currently writing this review for my review site(www.myspace.com/horrorflickreviews).

Either way, I love both of these films, and cherish that they are in my DVD collection.

I agree. This one was far better.

There was something about this one that scared me more. I can honestly say that this was a movie that made me stay up late. Seriously.

Demoni 2 is far better and more scary. The first one was like a comedy. This one scared the sh** out of me.

The IMDB rating for Demoni 2 should be a lot higher.

i like both, but i think the music and the setting of the first one is better. I also prefer the characters in the first, Toni the pimp and the dude that looks a little like sylvestor stallone (they appear in both films)are my fave.

"she's the tear that hangs inside my soul forever."

It's funny you say that. I would consider the first Demons film my all time favourite horror film but this sequel I can barely sit through.

I thought the baby demon was just a dumb idea not to mention the heavy metal in the first film goes better with the violence and brutality than the new wave soundtrack in this one.

I really hope we see a Demons Blu Ray boxset soooo bad!

same here. after watching the first demons movie i was hardly keen on watching the sequel. glad i gave it a chance! imho the narrative was better "balanced" on this one and i liked the highrise setting - reminded me a bit of gremlins 2.

Both films took the idea of a demon climbing, hands first, out of a corpse from the end of the Evil Dead though.

I like them both equally. They are both crazy and fun to watch every single time. Perfect example of fun B movie from the '80s... and you gotta love scene like bike-katana hacking of demons while Saxon plays in background. What's there not to love?

Black pimp's voice in English dub version (same guy voiced black coach from part 2) voice alone is worth watching both movies!

Ps. Demoni 2 has lot better setups (lot of time you have "hero" in close and tight space against some danger or demon), but Lamberto Bava wasn't that good at staging suspense (unlike his father), so they kinda fall flat.

i really enjoyed this one more because this was one of the very few films that have scared me. i actually had to turn on the lights for this one lol. i really enjoyed the makeup for the demons and the sounds they made, i really thought it made the movie scarier. i wish, however, that the woman would've had a demon baby and it would have killed the guy and whatever. i was hoping for that to happen, but i still loved the movie.

I think I do too. Which is funny, because when I was vacillating about buying the very expensive but very worth it Synapse blu-rays, I almost didn't go for the second one.

It'd been so long since I'd seen them, and the first has that awesome movie theatre setting and childhood-traumatizing gore, not to mention the samurai-sword-on-a-motorcycle craziness, I'd all but forgotten the second one. It was barely an afterthought.

But, man, it's really pretty great -- darker. It seems to take itself a bit more seriously. And I know I'm going to take flack for this, but I really prefer the soundtrack.

And Bobby Rhodes returns, the grave be damned!

I disagree. I liked this, but I like the first film more. The demons in this one ARE creepier, but the first was just alot more fun to me.
