so when the blu ray is released do you think the language option will still be dubbed american?? thats the only version ive ever heard for both films, and i liked how it was the same actors doing voice dub for same characters.

or will it be italian with subtitles? hopefully not.

thanks

I'm sure it will be. I would actually prefer to own the Italian language version with English subtitles.

Are you sure there IS an Italian language version?

What used to happen back in the 70's and 80's (especially with horror films) is that they were shot with international casts and crews. Some cast members spoke Italian, some spoke English, some spoke German, etc. A lot of times, they had no idea what the other actors were saying. Of course, in horror films, you could get away with that.

That's why when you watch these movies, some actors are dubbed and some are just speaking English. English was always the "language of choice" for the final version because you could sell a movie in English to more territories throughout the world. You have to realize that the MONEY for these movies also came from varying countries. Investors and film makers came from all over the world.

So an Italian version would probably be very similar to an English version. That is, some actors would be simply speaking Italian and then some actors would be dubbed. Only now, the opposite actors would be dubbed into the opposite language.
