Recommend me similar demonic zombie / biter /rabies films

Just saw this and the first one, and simply put, they're excellent!

The demon zombies / biters here seem to have inspired the V-ACT Crimson Heads from the Resident Evil REmake and other video games. These are some of the only genuinely terrifying creatures, for me anyway.

Are there any other films at least similar in nature to these that I am unaware of? I already know of these slightly similar ones: [REC] series, Quarantine series, Dawn of the Dead remake, 28 Days Later series, Return of the Living Dead (only part one is good) and The Evil Dead (again, only the first is great like this).

I heard the later Demons films, from 3 on, are nothing like the first two and not worth watching. Is this true?
