Director's Cut

I would love if Warner Brothers would give us a Two Disc Special Edition of Deadly Friend, The First Disc with a Director's Cut of the film, the way Wes wanted the film to be in the first place and a Second Disc with the Theatrical Cut of the film. And also have some killer extras and commentaries. I know it wasn't a success on it's original release but this film has a cult following now and could sell quiet well.

Wes didn't film a directors cut. Fed up with the studio inteference he virtualy disowned the movie. Who could blame him? Screen writer Bruce Joel Rubin was just as pissed off with Warners.

You won't get a two-disc DVD release, the most you can expect is a bare bones release with maybe a theatrical trailer.

Diana Henstells novel should be re-adapted for the big screen, it's a fantastic story.

I've read Screams and Nightmares : The Films of Wes Craven and he says their is a Director's Cut, it's more a Sci-fi thriller then a horror film apperently, but your right that Warner Brothers will probably only release a bare bones DVD.

I stand corrected! I would love to see this version, hopefully Warners will get their arses in gear and put out a two disc special edition :)

i would settle for any version to be released

I agree that since there is a cult following it would do quite well.
