Where filmed?

Anyone know what drive-in this movie was filmed at and if, like most of its brethren, it faded into the sunset? It's not in the IMDb Trivia section.

The neon sign for the drive-in was particularly cool, as was the scene of the car crashing through it! I assume the sign was created for the film.

Sydney, New South Wales, and Australia.

For trivia fans: Shooting took place at the shuttered Matraville Drive In and nearby streets - South Sydney, in the winter of 1985 for 35 split day/nights 3pm to 5 am. Local residents became unhappy at the ammount of gunfire and tyre squealing through the night, and also that our burning tyres were ruining the washing on neighboring clothes lines (oops, mea culpa ) but we managed to get it shot before being told to leave. The drive in was demolished and turned into apartments. Tarantino listed it as a favorite of his in Entertainment Weekly. It certainly celebrates the institution of drive in moviegoing that is now virtually extinct. Anchor Bay reeased an excellent DVD transfer a couple of years ago. I am gratified by the extent of its fan base 20 years later.

After discovering this film and others in 'Not Quite Hollywood' I tracked it down and got my copy! Other films are proving a bit more difficult to find.
