What happened to Robert Judd

There is no info on Robert Judd?
Anyone have a Bio?

reply

I realize this is a very old post but I just watched CR last night and decided to look at the MB

As for your question I've wondered the same thing. He was AWESOME in this movie and I couldn't imagine anyone else playing this part. It was a small role but damn did he nail it!

reply

Maybe he really was ... you know...

reply

Yep - he has many names.

reply

I find it very odd that Judd had just two screen credits to his name, I thought he played the part very well indeed, perhaps he was more of a theatre actor?

Run for it?, Runnings not a plan! Runnings what you do, once a plan fails!

Earl, Tremors.

reply

He reminds me of the old white demon man from Poltergeist II.

There is a bio on Wiki. Robert Judd died only 10 months after this movie was released.

According to Wiki he was in 'Across 110th Street' (1972) but no mention is made of this on IMDb. There were a whole load of people in '110th Street.' Some big names with small cameos. So perhaps Robert Judd's part in that movie was so insignificant that it has been overlooked. If indeed he was in it at all.

Robert Judd died of stomach Cancer, before this movie was released.

reply

Dammit.

That's horrible.

My favorite performance of The Devil that I've seen...sad that he passed away not long after filming.

reply

I've always preferred his portrayal of the devil to anyone else's (except maybe Julie Newmar in the Twilight Zone episode "Of Late I think of Cliffordville" because of how jaw-droppingly gorgeous she was). There's nothing over the top or flamboyant about Judd's performance, yet he exudes pure menace, all while maintaining an outwardly smiling, friendly demeanor that perfectly suits the role of Satan the tempter, who can't actually force you to do anything, but is liable to tempt, manipulate, or deceive all but the wisest and strongest-willed.
