She gets suicidal later on, but before that she'd pour heaps of sugar into her soft drinks - a lot of sugar. With that high intake, I'm surprised she didn't croak long before the thought of suicide entered her mind.

A really excellent movie though.

The more I study it, the greater the puzzle becomes.

Babe´s suicide attempts are the thing i most remember of this movie!
I really liked this movie when i saw it years ago!

I think traditional Southern cooking has lots of sugar. And real lemonade really needs it.
