'That Chick is so cheap!!!!'

There's always been 1 line from this film that I have never been able to figure out.

It's when Jessica Lang's was looking at the box of chocolates that Chick gave Lenny for here B-Day. She screams out "That Chick is so cheap!" Then she says what sounds like "This plastic has poinsettia's on it".

Is this right? Isn't poinsettia the Christmas flowers? How does that make the plastic cheap? Actually, the line makes no sense to me, so I'm guessing I'm hearing it wrong.

Someone please clear this up.

Chick didn't buy the chocolates, they were a box left over from the previous Christmas--indicated by the poinsettias on the wrapper. (Or if Chick DID buy them, she got them at an after-Christmas sale and had them sitting around for months.)

Thanks David. Your explanation makes perfect sense.

The action took place in August or September, I think. The candies were left over from the previous Christmas, Chick was either regifting the candy or had bought it cheap because it was now stale.

Never mind! I didn't see that the question had been answered. I do not like the new format for the boards (at least on my phone) and it won't let me delete or edit my answer. Grrrr!
