Klaus Kinski epitimized creepy!

I know what you mean. Since in the earlier scene, we saw how the device works, that adds to the effectiveness.
It was an unusual choice to have the actor convulse in that particular way after getting spiked and it gives is an odd authenticity.

I liked alot of the unorthodox touches in this flick. Unfortunately there are also some scenes that aren't really going anywhere, otherwise it would be an 80s classic I think.
