Mr. Forbes was formerly employed and retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He was of the Baptist faith and formerly served as a Deacon at Pinecrest Baptist Church. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and the National Guard and a member of the Captain Lynn H. Folsom VFW Post #2166. Survivors include his wife, Martha Teague Forbes, of the home; two daughters and a son-in-law, Yolanda Forbes Miller and Michael Miller, Elizabethton, and Shelley Forbes, Mountain City; two sons, Joel Forbes, Elizabethton, and Lance Forbes, Gray; ....
