American nightmare title version

Years ago I did a tape trade and got a hold of the film with it's original title of American nightmare and that it was fully uncut. I never got around to watching this.

After reading tonight how much Troma screwed up the dvd I figured I better transfer my vhs tape over to disc. The pic quality is ok all considering and in turn I finally got around to watching the film. I did like it but do agree with the general consensus of it being very depressing and sad.

At any rate the version I have runs 97 mins. It also has no foreign subtitles
or anything of the sort. It's original source to me is unknown (I am assuming it was probably a video release from somewhere in the world)

Back on point it might be easy enough to fix the troma dvd by using theirs as the source (because it will look better than this tape I have) and just re-instating the scenes that they did cut out from my uncut version.

Let you know when I get started on this and then I can write up a true report on what exactly is missing from Troma's edition

Troma is releasing the fully uncut special edition version of 'Combat Shock' later this year....they actually had a screening of the original, uncut 35mm print in Salt Lake City during TromaDance. I didn't get the chance to see it, but MAN, am I eagerly awaiting the DVD release...

thank you for the info. Until it comes and get gets fully verified that they did not *beep* anything up, I am going to hold onto the disc I made, however I will hold off on my composite project--
