wich one do you like more directors cut or theatrical release?

Wondering what the major difference is between the two? I know the directors cut is about 10 or 12 minutes longer but is it just filler or is it actually beneficial to the film?

According to The Chopping List (Censored movies in Australia) the following was cut. (Warning Spoilers!)

(a) During the climax, extra gunshots striking his wife on the floor are missing.
(b) All footage of the bloody shooting of the mutant baby in its crib.
(c) The bit where the baby is put into the oven, then later when blood seeps from under the door of the oven.
(d) Blood pouring from the gunshot wound in the side of the vet's head during his suicide death scene.
This version runs to 93:50 PAL.

The US DVD (Troma) running to 91:40 NTSC is missing the shot of blood seeping from the oven containing the dead baby and shots of the dripping kitchen sink tap.
