new 3 disk dvd set

from Austria has 3 cuts of the film i dont understand what the 3rd cut is it claims to be a restored extended version i thought there was only 2 cuts anyone know what this is all about it can be bought from hear

I bought that set from diabolik and I was just about to make a posting for it on the avmaniacs forum to ask, since like yourself I am curious about that too.

PS: it is actually limited to 500 pieces so if you want one act fast

I forgot to add the reply here, but this is what I wrote on avmaniacs after checking out the third disc:

"ok here is the deal, disc 3 the "restored extended cut" is more or less just an opening credit screen addition. Disc 2 labeled as the dirs cut has the 2000ad American nightmare title and fades in before cutting to woods by a stream. The disc 3 version starts off with the opening credits and army sequence for the normal version of the film and uses the combat shock title

Still about 10 seconds difference and that could be attributed to whatever. So for you collectors out there, the Troma masterpiece edition with both the dirs cut and the full Amercian Nightmares is the one you want. However this Dutch set pretty much features all of the same extras as that and another dvd cut for the film (disc 3). So again if you are a big fan, def worth getting"

also the UK arrow disk is pretty much a port of the troma disk so that is worth it to and pretty cheap

so alternate credits eh that's all ? seams odd to have a whole extra disk dedicated for such a minut alternate edit

perhaps it was something many hardcore fans of the film always wanted? Either way I still had a 10 second difference so it may be possible either longer end credits or possibly one or two shots being slightly extended
