had to be the most disturbed image in a movie, and the sound that he did when he cry. ughh! he looks a bit like Booji Boy from DEVO.

The baby in Eraserhead looked far more realistic though, also because of the fact that the director won't tell us what it really is! In this movie you can tell a little bit that it's a puppet cleverly disguised and handled by a crewmember. It adds to the charm :)
shareThe puppet for the malformed baby was loosely based on ET and cost only 140 dollars to make. Moreover, the horrible mewling noise the baby makes was done by speeding up writer/director Buddy Giovinazzo's voice and playing it backwards.
