Sequels?
Are the two sequels any good? You know, "Subhumanoid" and such.

I haven't seen the third but part 2 is really...meh. If your looking for a movie like the first, then you'll be dissapointed. Part 2 mainly goes for laughs and comes off more like Toxic Avenger 2 and 3, but a bit better.
To tell you the truth, I haven't seen The Toxic Avengers 2 and 3 yet either. One reviewer said 2 was more of an attempt to "go mainstream" as was Troma's War. What do you think about that?

Yeah you could say that. They softened the movie quite a bit and went mainly for visual and fart jokes. There's hardly any gore, and what there is sucks. They do have a suprising amount of full frontal nudity though.
Part 3 is a little better. It's made up of a bunch of leftover footage from part 2 and new footage to make it a coherent movie. The gore is much better and the movie opens with a decent scene very reminiscent of the Taco joint robbery from the first movie(Though it pales in comparison). The movie really drags in the middle but picks up at the end.
The "actor" they got to play Toxie's girlfriend for part 2 and 3 really brings both movies down even further.
Never saw Troma's War so I can't comment on that. The original Toxic Avenger and Class of Nuke'Em High have been Troma's Magnum Opus for me though I've still yet to see Tromeo and Juliet which I hear is good.
I'll have to pick up Part 3 then, just for the sake of it. I think The Class of Nuke 'Em High and Sgt. Kabukiman are Troma at its best.

After the MPAA butchered Troma's War, they made Toxic Avenger 2 (wich later became 2 and 3)
and those movies had more of a cartoony look and less gore.
Class of Nuke 'Em High 2 and 3 have many elements as Toxic Avenger 2 and 3.

When renting/buying Troma's War, Toxic Avenger 2 or 3... RENT/BUY THE DIRECTORS CUT, they are alot better.

I have a question for everyone... Does anyone remember when the troma website had a contest to write portions of the script to Class of Nuke 'Em High 4? I thought that much of the begining for that script was great! I kept waiting for them to film it... never happened though.
shareIt's still stuck in Development Hell. The script was taken off the net so that Lloyd and some other people where going to re-write it. It wasen't put back on the net because they where doing some other projects wich they both wanted to do more and had more time to do. They still have the script, but Lloyd is thinking about re-writing it completly. There are no plans to re-write it now, but a sypnosis was written couple of months ago for maybe a future project. So there might be a chance to see a Class of Nuke 'Em High 4 in the future.
