Some Christmas movies are better then others and this particular movie I thought was worth having in my collection to watch every year at this time. As a Colorado native I can appreciate the local theme very much.
Does anyone have any info on whether or not this movie will ever be released on VHS or DVD? Beyond that I wonder if it is available from a private party.
Hope others out there enjoyed it as much as I did.

This is an absolute charming and heart warming christmas movie. I've been searching for this film for years, and have had no success in finding it out there on vhs or dvd, sad!.
shareHi, Just thought I would help you out a little if I can. The movie is available on VHS ONLY. It has not been put out yet on DVD. You can locate the movie on EBAY. Some have a "BUY NOW" listed as of this date. They are scarce and I would suggest you get one asap. I did get mine years ago and it is one heck of a good holiday show for the whole family. Good Luck!

Hi Seamus: I noticed that you are searching for a John Denver movie entitled "The Christmas Gift." I recently located a 1990 VHS copy. Not a rental, but from a private collection. I have excellent recording equipment and have transferred the movie to DVD, (Region Free,) with great results. And yes, US DVDs will play on your machine. I've sold several to Irish buyers without any problems playing them.
This film has never been released on DVD officially, so this is the only way to acquire a DVD copy.
The DVD includes a new DVD box, with custom artwork sleeve, taken from the VHS box. If interested, price is $12.99, + $4 S&H US.

I really love this Christmas film and it is compulsive viewing, but the video is falling to bits now as it is my little boy's favourite. Why on earth has this not been reissued? Mysery to me! One possible solution is to record this movie off TV onto your DVR to TiVo. Then you have a clean clear copy to view in the future.
