I knew about the first for a long time but only recently found out there were 2 sequels. On the one hand I can see that this movie has a lot of problems in terms of plot and animation. In almost every other scene there's a mistake, which really annoys me. To be honest I feel the first has a stronger story but this one has it's moments too. Despite all the problems I found myself liking this for some reason. While the basic story was good a lot happened that didn't seem to make much sense but overall I found myself enjoying it. So in the end I guess this was an all right follow up to the first movie.

The animation here actually is an improvement over the first movie's, that one had lots of errors in it. This one not too much.

if it just focused on Dark heart and Christy--taking out everybody and everything else (the babies and the older 'first carebears') this would be a great movie.

They should do a trilogy based on Dark heart--the boy who was dark heart and Christy. "They care"!! That would be a wonderful movie. John and Dawn were not needed at all.
