It was kinda difficult to me

well but also it was great

Why was it difficult for you? I'm asking out of interest.

Jarman was a great film director, and needed no actor (especially Bean) to redeem any of his films. How can you call this rubbish? I can understand if you thought it was slow, as it does demand a patient viewer, but how on earth you can think this is rubbish is beyond me.

Does anyone remember the time Derek Jarman and Vivienne Westwood got into a fight? Not literally, just a nice little war of words.

Lot o sh ite

reply

Well I wouldn't call it rubbish, and Seam Bean could redeem anything for me anytime. But a bit too surreal - Lorries, motorbikes, dinner suits, glossy mags and electronic toys. What was all that about?

reply

Carravaggio used a lot of modern (for the time!) things in his paintings (clothes for example) and I beleive Jarman wanted to do the same thing with the film.

Films and Movies are not the same thing.

reply

Kind of had to use clothes.

I loved Cara's painting of the martyrdom of Val Doonican.

Nothing is more beautiful than nothing.
