One of the dullest films I've ever endured

Atrocious imagining of Caravaggio's tempestuous life; it drags the viewer wearily through a swamp of ponderous non-events, homoerotic imagery and artistic flatulence. The costumes are a bizarre mesh of Baroque with modern touches and the sets look cheap and stagey, so it never feels authentic. The dialogue is clunky dramatic prose and the editing is nonsensical.

A more boring film you will not see.
