Why The Low Rating?

I thought BODYCOUNT was not a bad eighties b-movie. I've experienced much worse from the eighties.

I agree. I thought this movie was very entertaining. Some classic scenes to be sure, especially the dream sequence in the beginning.

ps...

do you have any clue who the killer was in the very beginning of the movie. Who killed Rose(the doctor's daughter) and the guy she was screwing?

**SPOILER ALERT**

I assumed it was the actual forest bogeyman-y who popped out of nowhere at the end and killed the David Hess character.

thanks for your response!

but, i was wondering about the beginning of the film when the girl, Rose and her man are killed. Are we to assume that was actually a shaman? thanks!

I think the locals called him a shaman. I think he was some counter cultural nut who probably decided living in the woods was better than trying to survive in civilization.

Curious, I recall reading not too long ago ( I wish I could find the link) about someone who lived for twenty years in the mountains and manged to survive on some absurdly low amount of money. He refused to take any welfare, just earned his money doing the occasional odd job.

There was another person (again I have no link) in Utah who lived in the mountain and raided cabins for food and clothing. Unfortunately, this person was somewhat mentally ill and had a rifle which he used!

As hokey as BODYCOUNT was, it probably could happen!
