Italy raiting

I think that Italy is the only country in the world that in 1987 certified "Blue Velvet" as "for all audiences". This fact is so unbelievable that some years later the VHS publisher gave a self-applied rating of "18+". Also "Wild at Heart" is in Italy "for all audiences"... Does anybody know of similar cases in USA or other countries?

I know that the recent lesbian romance film Blue Is the Warmest Color has been rated 12+ in France, while in the USA it received the highest possible rating: NC-17.

Yeah, you're right. France often pretends to be the most enlightened and progressive country in Europe. France cinema is full of lgbt oriented movies or movies where you can find sex talking among parents and teenagers, ecc.

Well, around that time Italy had some way more gruesome stuff going around with all those cannibal/mondo movies haha, guess they are just used to it or something. But still, I would never rate Blue Velvet "for all audiences", that's just crazy.
