What's the song that one "classy *beep* (can't remember his name) sings at around one hour twenty minutes in? Thanks.

His name is Ben, and he is so fvckin' suave. The song he sings is "In Dreams" by Roy Orbison.

It's my favorite scene in the whole film. Dean Stockwell is unparalleled.

I was sitting in the theater in 1986 and the scene brought tears to my eyes. I could hardly believe what I was seeing/hearing.

"gonna throw, my raincoat in the river...gonna toss, my umbrella in the sea"...Sammy Turner.

It was a very good scene indeed. Stockwell nailed the sh!t out of his tiny role.

"In Dreams" by Orbison is one of the greatest songs from that era ever written. If you have another listen you'll notice that it doesn't have the classic form of a pop song. Most pop songs are written in the verse, chorus, verse, chorus form but this one just keeps morphing into something different until the pinnacle. Brilliant stuff! Long live the Big O!
