Did this movie parody product placement?

I mean, the inclusion of it seemed so odd that it feels like it couldn't have been for anything else than poking fun at how out-of-place it is when movies have it (which it almost always is). Nevertheless, I did think it was very funny. Especially when Frank rebutted Jeffrey by mentioning another brand.
