Critics Didn't Realize... It's a Neo Noir... A NEON Noir...

The fact this movie tanked and is considered the bane in the Brat Pack's existence is strange to me... This movie is farfetched and yet, it is very, very entertaining, simple like the kinda Noirs I dig, based on a book that Al Lettieri's character said in the movie PULP as being the best pulp writers... It's based on his book... Judd Nelson does a good enough job; Scott Wilson, one of the most underrated great actors ever, goes over the top beautifully... A soon to be popular tough actor is yet another doomed lamb like he used to play before TV made him red and rugged and, I don't know... BLUE CITY just does it for me, and needs a bigger, better cult for being good, not bad...

The production by Walter Hill, IMO, shows, and while... well... here's my second writeup on this as right now I'm watching the beautiful looking BLU RAY of BLUE CITY...
