A new Biggles movie in development?

I read somewhere on the internet, that there was a new Biggles movie going to be made. This is not a remake of the film made in 1986, but a new story from one of the books. The title of the movie is going to be called Biggles Flies North.

Sorry to burst your bubble there cmyklefty. Biggles Flies North is a table top miniture game. It's been in devlopment for some time and look to have stalled. To the best of my knowledge the idea for this game has never even been considered for a feature film. All I do know is the campaigns are set at the end of WWI. Other than that, I think you can get the rules from the gaming groups online (cause I think they stopped devlopment and released them for free) and you make your own models/mini's for it.

Actually, Biggles Flies North is a book by his creator, Captain W.E. Johns. After WW1 (or is it two? I haven't read it in a while!) Biggles must fly to canada to save his friend Wilks.

I think the setting, according to all the books, is placed in the era of WWI.

Several years ago there were plans to make several Biggles Feature films starting with as you said Biggles Flies North ,Mudlark Productions were one of the companies involved,I also read about Canadian tax credits to help make the films. But having contacted them (Mudlark) in the last six months they say that the plans have now been dropped and the rights now belong to a syndicate in the Fareast .

The book Biggles Flies North was first published in 1939,so the setting is somewhere between the First and Second World War.
