I have modeled a spitfire in 3D. I decided to give the look and feel of the biggles comic "Spitfire Parade". I used the book published by RED FOX with illustrations by Francis Bergese for reference. Trying make an animation of a dogfight with the ME-109 from the book. Do check it out.

Nice model. Agreed, the Spitfire didn't exist in the Great War, but Biggles' 'career' spanned both conflicts, and well into the 1960's as chronicled by Capt. Johns. Also, try 'Biggles - The Authorized Biography' by John Pearson for details of his birth, life and (mysterious) death.
