Filming location - church exterior

Don't suppose anyone can confirm the location of the church (exterior) where the nuns were holding up in?

reply

Not sure but you're best bet is to see the Blue Peter location filming feature on the DVD release as it would state where it was filmed.

Thanks for the tip, but unfortunately I don't own the DVD (saw Biggles on TV in a nostalgic moment!).

I don't suppose anyone with the DVD fancies looking it up and letting me know? :)

I was told this film never would go to DVD because it did not make enough money. However I found someone on eBay that specially made me a DVD and burned Bigglesworth's photo on it - a great copy.

It's All Saints Church in Holdenby. Completed in 1340 but now redundant and hasn't been in use since 1972.

It's basically at the bottom of the back garden of Holdenby House, which was used as the location for the German occupied Chateau/Stables in the film.
