Anyone know the details of Michael Carmine's death from heart failure at only 30?

I did some hunting around myself after reading your post and the best that I can come up with is the fact that he died at the ripe old age of 30? Somewhat misleading when you consider he was born in 1958 [aka he would have passed away in 1988] and released a couple of movies in both 88-90? Go figure...

Actually, Michael Carmine was born in 1959 and died in 1989, 7 months after he turned 30. Movies he filmed were RELEASED in 1989 & 1990 ... that doesn't necessarily reflect when the movies were filmed.

No, he was the latin guy fighting with the black guy on a gang war at the beginnig, in the open credits.

According to his Trivia section:

He died of AIDS soon after his last film, "Longtime Companion," was completed. In that film he played someone dying of AIDS. As was not unusual at the time, his official obituary did not mention that his heart failure was due to the effects of AIDS.
