Watching this movie felt like a bit of a drag, I was reasoning in my head of giving it either a 4 or a 5 (out of 10)- The death scenes were exceptionally poor. Then that ending came as a nice suprise which made the death scenes make scence a decent effort it has the right rating on imdb.
Watch if theres nothing else on or if you wish to see a horror movie with a different spin: 6/10.
I liked the 'well' scene alot, the beginning, the 'snake' scene, and the ending. Hence why I give it a 7.5/10

I liked it also, it was a break from the blood & gore fest typical of slasher flicks. That's why I gave it an 8, because it made an effective horror movie in the 1980s without using a lot of cookie cutter tactics of slasher flicks.

Saying that, I have watched it on 1st April the last three years.
It WAS a drag, but the ending didn't make up for anything as it was predictable from the very beginning.
