i never got through this movie

I only made it over 80 mimiutes. then i got bored watching it.

The problem is the number of inaccuracies (at least for me). I realize that screenwriters have to add or change details to help the flow of the story, but for someone with even basic knowledge of Romanov history; it's almost painful to watch what was produced.

One movie I liked about it was "Rasputin and the Empress", made app 1932 or something, the only movie with all 3 Barrymores in it. Lionel makes a GREAT Rasputin, Ethel was very good as the Czarina, and John (before he started drinking heavily) was the one who killed Rasputin.

The beginning was slow but it picks up towards the middle. That's what got me through.

"I am a great supporter of sex before marriage. Otherwise I wouldn't have had sex at all."

I agree that it is hard to watch especially since it was proven she was fraud by DNA.

True, but at the time the movie was made it hadn't been proven.

I enjoyed the movie when I first saw it (I was 14 when it was made) but afterwards I read the Peter Kurth book it is based on and I preferred that.
