I was about seven years old when this movie came out and I just watched it for the first time the other day. I really liked it! Are there any other movies like this - with a good story - and from around the same time? Thanks for any recommendations!
shareThe only other one I can think of is St. Elmo's Fire. Singles came out in '92 which was the "grunge" era. There's only six years separating these films but the styles are completely different.
shareThe first movie that comes to mind when I think of About Last Night (aside from St. Elmo's Fire) is When Harry Met Sally. It came out in 1989, and it's a romantic comedy centered around the question of whether a man and a woman can be "just friends". The chemistry between the cast is fantastic, the plot is interesting, and the script is smart and funny. It doesn't exactly scream "The 80's", but it's got a similar vibe to it (with less swearing and no nudity). If you haven't seen it, check it out.
