John Belushi instead of Jim

I think John would've taken this movie to another level. He may have taken it over though, and took away its dramatic effects.

reply

This is probably Jim's best role. I thought he did very well here.

reply

The buddy role would have had to be rewritten.
Think normal is better here and Jim was well suited.

"It's the system, Lara. People will be different after the Revolution."

reply

Agreed. He was outstanding in this movie, which of course, is very dated. But almost iconic, at least to me.

reply

Jim plays this character so over the top it's just absurd. This kind of thing might work in some sitcom or maybe a beer commercial but over the course of a two hour movie it's just really annoying and so forced.

reply

You're an IDIOT, he was spot on.

reply

John would have taken this movie to another level, all right: six feet under.

reply

Jim is the perfect average Joe which works here in the support role. John would have been over the top in some way and it would not have worked.
