Montage Overdrive

Make some pasta, have some sexy time, make the bed, have some sexy time, boil some water, have some sexy time, lie on the bed, make some sexy time.

Listen to bad 80's music, make some sexy time.

LOL

I'm a sucker for musical montages, but even I thought this movie had too much of them. Looks and sounds so cheesy and dated now.

Wonderful, but forgettable. It sounds like a film I've seen. I probably wrote it.

Yeah but the song is awesome! I think it was called "Living inside my heart."

Sheena Easton!!

I have to disagree with long montages being bad, I love the 80's long montages in movies when the songs fit into the context of the scenes perfectly, Staying Alive, About Last Night, St Elmo's Fire, Rocky III and Rocky IV are great examples where long musical montages work great.

Oh, the 80s had some painful music montages, no question. Although I thought No Way Out was 10 times as bad when it came to the music.

"I rather like the way you smell."---"Star Trek: DS9"

Hahaha, I came here to post the same thing! I kept thinking "Oh crap, ANOTHER montage!" And they were so long! Like the whole song. Maybe my generation (80s baby) doesn't have the attention span. Like I get it, they moved in together and have a lot of stuff. It doesn't have to go on another two and a half minutes. You probably could have expressed that in one chorus.

OK, so the original poster is complaining about too many musical montages - thanks other posters for explaining this. Well, this movie did have quite a few montage sequences with your standard eighties music, but they were well done, didn't feel forced to me. Plus, I knew it will be an eighties movie, so this was kind of what I expected anyway.

This film is definitely montage-heavy and yet I can’t imagine cutting a single one of them.

I like all of the montages, even if it is "overload". Maybe some day they'll come out with the dvd that includes deleted scenes, and there will be like five additional montages for us to enjoy lol! All full songs! ;D
