BRITISH-AMERICAN FRIENDSHIPS

I remember seeing the BBC TV version of this when I was a kid and my parents explaining about food coming from America during and after World War 2.

I like this film for its great acting and production design,and for the warm feeling it gives me of Anglo-American friendships.

The film is also something of a history lesson.

It is a very heartwarming film. i remember my mother speaking with enthusiasm of the american servicemen she met during the war, how charming and kind and generous they were. I agree it is a history lesson as well, a vivid picture of a vanished age.
