Apart from the last half hour I found this film slow

shareIt was a very good film, it was a sad but much promising story very well told, it was so good acting,
and I wonder,
what the hell the pace, rate or speed had to do with it?
I only watched the 3 hour director's cut, but believe I would have enjoyed the 2 hour theatrical cut better. Normally I tend to really appreciate the director's cuts, but this one is filled with unnecessary scenes that have little to do, I suspect with the main plot.🐭
