the boys' significant others' good and bad points...

First of all there is something about David's Annie that just irritated the crap out of me so I won't even go there...

so here goes... WIllie's Brenda:
Good: I thought she was a good match for Willie, with good chemistry and was a lot of fun.
Bad: I thought she was a little too wrong side of the tracks to have a family like she did ... a mother who is nice and brothers who seem fun.

Mark's... Cara:
Good: I thought she was a good match for Mark. she was refined and smart.
Bad: A little bit too much like an old fart... not having a lick of fun, like Brenda did.

Tracy dated willie which showed us how in touch with reality willie was -- what a dolt! There is an episode where the boys skip school and go to the mall so willie can get an autographed copy of the autobiography by Vanna White. Tracy loved her. Well somehow mark gets caught at the mall by Sandy and as it turns out She got a copy of he book for Tracy, too.

The funniest line in the show was... when she recieved two books... "I don't know when I will find the time to read them both!!"

The last time I saw all of the episodes was when they use to show this on NBC back in the day and then it was canceled and CBS picked it up and started to air the shows.

So like one person said I cannot really comment either. It always seems like when I find outthat Valerie is on they remove it and stop showing it. This has happened to me twice.

The first time I saw it was on when PAX use to air it back in the late 90's to early 2000's and then stopped airing it. Then I am going through the TV section and see that ABC Family was showing it in the mornings in August of 2004.

I was excited and happy about it because I have not seen Valerie/ Hogans in like forever. I watched it every day until they pulled Valerie/Hogans to put on instead Family Matters and Step By Step.

I have emailed ABC Family to put it back on but they would not do it at all.

david - i never liked annie either, but i think my least favorite girlfriend had to be the princess in the 3-part paris episodes.. i thought sarah was the best girlfriend david had.. she appeared in a 2-part episode where they fell in love, but she ended up leaving to study in australia.. there was one scene where david planted a kiss on her that was so hot i still remember it.. she was the only actress i can think of that seemed to have any real chemistry with bateman on the show.. i always wished she'd come back, but alas that never happened..

mark - i also liked cara for the same reason - they had good chemistry together, and licht seemed genuinely into her (i'm sure the fact that she was gorgeous didn't hurt).. i also really liked judy who was the tomboy who had a crush on mark.. i thought she was hilarious, but i had a big crush on jeremy licht at the time, so that's probably why i related to her..

willie - i actually liked kellie martin as tracy.. i thought tracy was a funny character and kellie martin did a cute job with the role.. they were too young for there to be any real onscreen 'chemistry' between them, but i never thought there was much romantic chemistry between ponce and the actress who played brenda either.. i just thought tracy was funnier..

btw - does anyone remember when mark & willie dated the girls from 'saved by the bell' in the 2-part california trip? i think elisabeth berkley and tiffany amber thiessen had different names than their sbtb characters, but i remember thinking it was a funny cross-over to have mark & willie hook-up with the girls from bayside while they were in cali..

Totally with you on the Sara/David combo. They seemed like a real couple. Their two episodes together were probably the best two episodes of the show's run.
