Question that may or may not be about this show . . .

I have a vague memory of a show that has kind of the same premise as this one, but I seem to remember a slight twist. In it a guy helps people in exchange for favors he'll collect sometime in the future. If people agree to the favors that's the last they'll see of him. The twist, though, is that if they refuse, he somehow returns them to whatever situation they were in when they first asked him for help, and then that's pretty much it for them. I think the show was also from the 80's. Was it Stingray? Or if not, does anyone recall a show like that?

Yes, you may be thinking about "Cobra" which ran for one season back
in 1993-94. Michael Dudikoff was the lead actor who drove a sixties
Ford Cobra convertible and he helped people who were either in
trouble or who just couldn't get out of tight situations on their
own. A similar premise to "Stingray" though it debuted six years
after the one season of that show. I loved the car even more than
Nick Mancuso's Corvette Stingray. I hope this information helps.
