HAPPY 30th ANNIVERSARY, STARMAN!

Today marks the 30th anniversary of the original broadcast of the first
STARMAN episode, "The Return".

Did anyone see the first episode on TV when it was broadcast 30 years
ago? My first episode of STARMAN was "Fathers and Sons", back in 1988
when it was aired on the American Forces Network (AFN) TV station in
Germany, which I came across by chance, and I have been "hooked" ever
since!

I'm pretty sure I watched it from the beginning when it first ran on TV. Big fan of both Robert Hays and sci-fi, although these days not so much sci-fi. But I really did love the movie and wasn't about to miss the TV sequel. I'm pretty sure I saw them all, and then saw them again when they were syndicated on, I believe, the Sci-Fi Channel, where I taped every show except one I somehow missed. Lovely show, and I finally got the DVD not long ago. It looks great, too! I was impressed! Hard to believe it was 30 years ago. Dang!

I found it when it was being replayed on the syfy channel. It is an underrated show with heart.

Agreed. And it always made a thoughtful point at the end. We need more of that kind of show.
