the new rating system

see it, rent it, skip it? stupid. the thumb up/down is what made it what it is.

The see it, rent it, skip it is over a year old. The show started using them when Roeper an Phillips were on together. They did it because Ebert no longer wanted the show to use the thumbs. I like seeing if they think a movie is worth waiting on for DVD or not. But I agree, the thumbs are classic.

Well, they needed something to replace the thumbs thing after the dopes at Disney got into a snag with Roger in 2007. I have no problem with the new system, by the way.

What is wrong with that, and they started doing that a few years after Roger Ebert dropped or not allowed thumbs up or down to be used anymore. But that is three ways that you can do with movies, see it in a movie theater, rent it on dvd/bnlu-ray or video if you are going back to old days or skipping the movie altogether. Where in the mind of any hosts that hosted it during that time, with rent it, they might have thought the movie is not good enough to pay money to see in a movie theater, but not bad enough to skip it. But just remember it is based on their opinion doesn't mean that is a good or a bad movie.
