of someone who is the reason Phillip Marlow believes in compulsory Malthusianism.
This is from a negative review of TSD:

bad writer? bad writer? Incredibly, this guy is actually calling Dennis Potter a bad writer?!

speechless I am. stunned I am. sad that this person might actually breed I am.

If you want, you can level many criticisms against Dennis Potter (a tad self-indulgent and ego-centric for one) but to call him a bad writer is just silly. It says more about the person than they realise.
