Roger the Monster

I really liked that in "Monster in the Playhouse" Pee-Wee didn't wish for the monster to disappear but instead wished that he could understand what the monster was saying. It was a really sweet and simple way of conveying that so much fear and misunderstanding comes from a lack of communication. I had never given much thought to the episode until I watched it about a million times with my daughter, who seems to be fixated on the monster.
